Welcome to GHC

We are a provider of services for people with a learning disability, autism presenting challenging behaviour who may have additional needs.

Our Mission Statement

Generation Healthcare’s aim is to provide specialist transition services to individuals with learning disabilities and associate needs in an environment where rights, independence and choice are the focus of that service. We provide measurable, outcome-focused and service solutions.

Aims and Objectives

The aim of the service is to provide a homely environment that respects individuality and promotes independence. The objectives are to empower individuals with a feeling of self-worth and belonging, whilst being supported in a safe and warm environment.

– We have a real and proactive passion for providing services to people with autism and other complex needs. Our name Generation Healthcare suggests we are for all generations, but always moving forward, upwards and onwards.

– We recognise the wealth of diversity that exists within our communities and we recruit workers who have the required skills, knowledge and strength of character to meet the challenges of supporting people with complex needs, to meet, engage and live within the community

Our Philosophy of Care

  • Equality for All: Every individual has the right to be treated equally.
  • Family involvement: We ensure families, friends and staff involvement is actively encouraged
  • Trust: We build and rely on an honest relationship between staff and service users.
  • Privacy: We ensure absolute confidentiality of the service users at all times except where necessary for the wellbeing of the individuals.
  • Risk assessment: We access individuals risk assessment to ensure the safety of lives and properties at all times.
  • Complaint Procedure: we have a robust complaint procedure that will enable individual to be heard and thereby alleviating their fears of not being heard when it matters most to them.
  • Independence: The independence, choice and privacy of the individuals are not negotiable.
  • 24 Hours Support: we will provide 24 hours consistent and constant supervision and support from well-trained staff to the individuals in our care as we are aware of their vulnerability to risk.
  • Access to communities: The individuals we support will have access to the community facilities such as (shops, GPs, leisure facilities) as part of their daily lives with support from staff and this can only stop where risks are no longer foreseeable.
  • GHC will be registered with CQC and regulated. The home will be regularly monitored by CQC to ensure that it continues to comply with all the standards set.
  • All inspection reports on GHC are public documents and would be available to view on the CQC website.
  • In addition to external inspection, GHC has its own monitoring systems to ensure the services provided is of the highest quality and to ensure that standards are maintained at all times.

Our care packages cover a range of services from direct care, support with domestic living, supporting service users to undertake activities within the community, and an outreach day service taking individuals out of their family homes.
